Explaining Extremely Obvious Things to People Who Refuse to Listen
February-March Wrapup
Welcome to life in 2026, where the lion’s share of what passes for political discourse consists of Explaining Extremely Obvious Things to People Who Refuse to Listen:
- “Voter fraud” is not a widespread problem that requires a militarized police force to correct. Trump wants to send ICE agents to polling stations for the same reason he sends them everywhere else: to intimidate immigrants and other non-white people.
- The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility, or SAVE Act, would require people to present a valid US passport or birth certificate when registering to vote.
- It will make it far more difficult for people who have changed their names to vote: this would directly affect married women and people who have undergone gender transition.
- Democrats do not oppose the SAVE Act because they are against showing ID to vote. It certainly is not because they support voter fraud. It is because the Trump Administration is introducing unnecessary hurdles to make it harder to vote, which is a Constitutional right.

- Donald Trump does not have the authority to declare war. That is the job of Congress. Congress never gave Trump approval to go into Iran.
- But, at the risk of fixating on the obvious, Trump just does whatever the hell he wants and leaves it to everyone else to clean up the mess.
- In the last 37 years, no U.S. president of either party has seriously advocated for military intervention into Iran.
- Similarly, no U.S. President of either party has interfered with Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people within Israel’s borders.
- “Kamala Harris would have agreed to the Iran strikes because she let Netanyahu get away with murder in Gaza” is not a valid comparison. They’re not the same thing.
- Kamala Harris did indeed describe Iran as America’s “greatest adversary” in a 2024 interview. Such a remark is entirely consistent with the long history of U.S. Presidents rattling sabers against Iran and leaving it at that. There is no evidence to suggest that Harris would have been any more hawkish than Biden on Iran.
- The main reason Netanyahu chose to strike Iran now is because he was confident Donald Trump would support him. And that is because Netanyahu has long known that Donald Trump is susceptible to flattery and has no genuine foreign policy principles of his own. He also likely surmised that Trump was looking for a life raft to save him from the political fallout from the Epstein Files.
- Trump’s story about Iran blowing up their own girls’ school with one of our Tomahawk missiles is as valid as every other “false flag” story, which means that it is a lie. Please remember that this is the same President who continues to insist that the 2020 election was stolen from him.

- TSA is understaffed because of the partial government shutdown over funding to the Department of Homeland Security. That is because Trump is trying to force ICE into every element of our lives and Democrats are trying to stop him.
- In response, Trump is sending ICE to airports to “assist” TSA, despite the fact that ICE agents have not undergone any TSA training. This does absolutely nothing to refute the copious amount of evidence that Trump is trying to force ICE into every element of our lives.
- For the record: Russiagate wasn’t a hoax. The GOP just decided that it wasn’t important. Same goes for the impeachments, the attempted insurrection, the felony convictions & the Epstein Files.
- There is simply no legal or moral principle that is more important to them than Protecting Trump.

Hi ho –
The reason Trump bangs on about the 2020 election is because he lost, to a man. The only elections he has ever won were against women. I believe that galls the fuck out of him.
Yeah, that too! ✌️
